The nearby villages of
Ash, Staple, and Barnsole
are all easily reached on foot via a network of public footpaths that wind gently through open countryside. These relaxed walks are perfect for stretching your legs, soaking up the views, and slowing the pace a little.
The walk to Ash is a particular favourite, following an old railway cutting where the tracks were removed many years ago. Today, it’s a peaceful, level route with plenty of character — a lovely reminder of the area’s history and a great way to enjoy the landscape at an unhurried pace.
